　　生产活动是人类最基本的活动，世界上绝大多数人都在从事生产活动。有生产活动就有生产管理。生产活动是在生产系统中发生的。然而随着时代变迁，服务业的兴起，让生产这一概念不再局限于工厂的生产，成为了一切社会组织将其最主要的资源投入进去进行的最基本活动。因此，没有生产活动，社会组织就不能存在。接下来，将从生产运作管理基础概念出发，阐述邮政生产管理的奥秘。

　　了解生产运作管理，先要从生产出发，生产是一切社会组织将对它的输入转化增值为输出的过程，以生产为基础，才可能产生相应的社会组织，又如前文提到的生产是一种投入资源转化资源的过程，因此，可以说社会组织以其内部资源为基础，为人们提供所需的各种产品和服务。各种社会组织分工明确，通过生产活动为社会提供帮助。
　　如今，随着服务业的兴起和大数据的推动，经济发展通过前工业社会、工业社会、后工业社会，服务业也随之发展，如今的生产不再仅仅局限于工厂，产品也不再是有形的物体，相反，变得无形而难以衡量。服务业的兴起成为社会生产力发展的必然结果，也是衡量社会生产力发展水平的一个重要标志。人们无法离开服务业，同时是人的需要的发展和科技的进步也促使服务业发展，逐渐成为社会不可或缺的社会组织一部分，也成为社会基础的一部分，因此没有服务业就没有现代社会。
